I’m McKenzie, founder of The Lawton Group—strategist by trade, and problem-solver at heart.

With nearly a decade of experience across customer-facing, strategy, and operational roles, I’ve built a career on solving complex problems, improving business performance, and empowering founders to move with confidence. I started this firm with one goal in mind: to help small businesses build strong foundations and grow with intention. I’ve worked with founders across industries—healthcare, HR tech, retail, events—and I’ve seen firsthand how impactful it is to have someone in your corner who just gets it.

I’ve advised go-to-market strategy, led customer success teams managing multi-million dollar books of business, and built internal systems that scale. I’ve coached founders, aligned cross-functional teams, and worked hands-on to execute contract negotiations, revenue retention, and operational turnarounds.
